(Lebanon, OH) – Voices Speaking Out is a self-advocacy group comprised of adults receiving services from the Warren County Board of Developmental Disabilities (WCBDD). Members meet monthly with the purpose of advocating independence and inclusion for those with disabilities. In addition to advocacy, the group actively seeks out ways to give back to their community. Throughout the month of February, Voices Speaking Out will be conducting a collection drive in an effort to assist families in need.
From now until March 1st, the following personal care and food items will be collected: paper towels, tissue paper, deodorant, toothpaste, toothbrushes, shampoo, conditioner, bar soap, body wash, liquid hand soap, hand sanitizer, diapers & baby wipes, peanut butter, canned soup, canned fruit, canned vegetables, canned stew, canned fish, canned beans, and pasta. Donations can be dropped off between the hours of 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. Monday through Friday at the WCBDD Warren C. Young Center located at 801 Drake Road, in Lebanon.
The Warren County Board of Developmental Disabilities provides services and support to more than 2,000 individuals with disabilities and their families, through Early Intervention, Community Resources, Employment Services, Social, Recreational, Residential, Service Coordination, and other programs.
