(Lebanon, OH) – On June 29, 2022, the Warren County Board of Developmental Disabilities (WCBDD) will host “Tech Day”; a series of informative presentations from companies who specialize in technology solutions for individuals with disabilities. Those in attendance will learn about the variety of ways in which Remote Support, Assistive Technology, and Provider Software Technology can improve the lives of individuals with disabilities, and those who support them.
“With the staffing crisis we are facing right now, technology has become more important than ever,” said WCBDD Support Services Manager, Melissa Stall. “There is so much that technology can assist with to supplement the great work that in-person direct support professionals do.”
Stall continues, “It is important for providers, families and county board staff to know the different opportunities available to help the people we serve. Tech Day will have many different vendors available to discuss the options they might be able to assist with.”
“Tech Day” will be held from 9:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. at the Warren C. Young Center, located at 801 Drake Road in Lebanon, and is open to providers, county board staff, and individuals with disabilities and their families.
The Warren County Board of Developmental Disabilities provides services and support to more than 2,000 individuals with disabilities and their families, through Early Intervention, Community Resources, Employment Services, Social, Recreational, Residential, Service Coordination, and other programs.
