The Community Resource Division supports children, adults, and their families by providing a variety of services which include Early Intervention, Family Supports, Community Outreach, Waiver Waiting List management and waiver assignment, Contracted Services, Housing, Provider Development, and Public Relations.
Family Supports provides support to individuals with developmental disabilities who reside with their families but are not currently enrolled on waivers. Examples of assistance include medical supplies, adaptive equipment, home modifications, feeding equipment and supplies for individuals with special diets, and respite care.
The Community Resource Division maintains Waiting Lists for Home and Community Based Waivers and assigns Home and Community Based Waivers per the waiting list and the county board plan for the number of waivers allocated.
The Community Resource Division oversees Housing Services rental subsidies to individuals residing in Private Landlord settings, and manages room and board contracts for licensed homes.
The Community Resource Division also offers Provider Support, manages the Pooled Fund, and oversees contracted services such as Camp, Toileting Contracts, Therapy Contracts, Contracted Non Medical Transportation, Contracted Adult Day Services, and other related services contracts.
The Early Intervention program serves children ages birth to three who have developmental disabilities. The program receives referrals from the ‘Warren County Educational Service Center Early Intervention Service Coordinator', and the child is assigned a primary provider of service or coach. The program also provides play groups, respite, and parent education sessions.
The Public Relations and Community Outreach efforts at the Warren County Board of Developmental Disabilities are essential in sharing information about the organization and making connections within the community. The agency’s newsletter, brochures, annual report, informational documents, website, events, and promotional activities are conducted by the Public Relations department to increase awareness and promote integration within the community.
