SERVICES

We provide great services

An individual must have a qualifying diagnosis with the onset of the disability occurring prior to the age of 22 and then they must be assessed to display three or more substantial functional limitations on the Ohio Eligibility Determination Instrument.

Help Me Grow Intake is the starting point for services for all individuals under 3 years of age. The Support Services Division is the starting point for services for all individuals over 3 years of age.  For those who are currently eligible for County Board of DD services, eligibility is reviewed at the age of 3, 6, and 16. The onset of the disability must have occurred prior to the age of 22.

We provide services and support to people who live in Warren County, have a developmental disability, and are deemed eligible to receive our supports. A developmental disability affects a person’s development and lasts their entire life. Developmental disabilities can be intellectual, physical, or both.

The Voices of Warren County is a choir group comprised of adults with disabilities who receive services from the Warren County Board of Developmental Disabilities. The choir welcomes new members twice a year to join their group.

Community employment is the preferred path for working-age adults with developmental disabilities, and individuals should have the opportunity to explore career options and seek jobs that fit their skills and interests. The Community Employment and Transition Programs are designed to work together to help individuals meet their fullest potential in terms of employment.

Voices Speaking Out is the Self Advocacy group sponsored by the Warren County Board of Developmental Disabilities. Members of the group are comprised of adults receiving services from our agency. They meet to advocate for independence and inclusion of people with developmental disabilities in community life.

The Family Supports program was developed to provide support to families who are caring for a family member in their home. The goal is to relieve some of the emotional and financial strains experienced by families, and to enhance harmony within the family unit.

Students eligible for Warren County Board of Developmental Disabilities services are able to participate in transition services. The program is designed to help students transition from school to the adult world. The transition process is a team approach, which is developed around the needs of the individual student. The program partners with the local schools and other agencies to develop and implement appropriate programming.
