(Lebanon, OH) - Join the Warren County Board of Developmental Disabilities (WCBDD) on August 17 to explore local vehicles, assistive technology, and remote supports at our annual “Things That Go!” event.

The free community event is similar to a touch-a-truck event and encourages people of all ages and abilities to learn about unique vehicles and the people who operate them. “Things That Go!” will include law enforcement vehicles, fire trucks, a tractor, an ice cream truck, a school bus, and more. 

This year's event will also offer an indoor opportunity for assistive technology vendors and remote support services to showcase their products and services, including SafeinHome and THS Remote Support Services.

The event will include a preview of WCBDD’s Smart Technology Studio, which will provide a hands-on experience for individuals to explore assistive technology. One piece of assistive technology included in the smart studio will be a combined smart washer and dryer that can pre-measure laundry detergent, be controlled with a smartphone, and send text message reminders when the laundry is ready.

The annual event will take place at the Warren C. Young Center (WCYC) at 810 Drake Rd. in Lebanon, Ohio, on Saturday, August 17, 2024, from 10 a.m. to noon. The free event is open to all community members.
